Our aim is to provide a friendly and efficient service to all of our clients at reasonable cost. We provide comprehensive legal advice to individuals & businesses in the South Lakes and Furness areas.

    • Steve is our Managing Director and head of our busy Employment and Company Law Department. Steve assists many local companies with all aspects of employment law and company/commercial law– including drafting employment contracts and staff handbooks, advising on potential disputes and issues with staff, handling Employment Tribunal proceedings, keeping HR officers updated on changes to the law and representing clients in the Courts and Employment Tribunal. He also handles our increasing caseload of company and commercial law matters, including advising on commercial contracts, handling company incorporations and changes to company structures, drafting shareholder and partnership agreements and buying and selling businesses.

    • Kim joined Livingstons in 2002 and is our Compliance Director and head of our Property Department. Kim specialises in complex residential sales and purchases, equity release mortgages and commercial property transactions, advising clients on sales and acquisitions of land and property, leases and the sale and purchase of land for development. Kim also handles a growing amount of agricultural work for the local farming community. Kim is based in our Dalton office.

    • Lisa heads our Private Client, Litigation and Family Departments.  Having qualified as a solicitor in August 1998, prior to which she had worked in a Preston legal firm, she moved to Livingstons in 2000. Lisa is based in our Ulverston office, although she is happy to see clients in any of our other offices.  Home/hospital visits can be arranged by appointment.  Lisa is also our Complaints Director (which takes very little of her time!).

    • Sarah joined the firm in April 2012. Sarah is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX). She specialises in general civil litigation. In addition, Sarah is one of the few Lawyers in the area who has a particular interest in Education Law and has advised both individuals and schools in relation to such matters, including SEN, admission policies and exclusions. Whilst Sarah began her legal career in private practice she has spent the last 10 years working for public bodies including a Local Authority and the Police.

    • Steven is our Family Law Solicitor and Collaborative Lawyer. He qualified as a Solicitor in 2002 and joined the firm in 2015 from Milne Moser in Kendal. Steven is accredited by the Law Society as a specialist in advising clients upon the law related to all family matters. Steven is a member of Resolution which means that he is focused upon giving the best quality advice aimed at resolving family disputes in a non-confrontational way. As a Collaborative Lawyer Steven can assist clients in a modern family focused way to resolve disputes designed to avoid conflict and Court proceedings. Collaborative Lawyers and their clients meet together to find solutions rather than problems. This means that the outcomes achieved are more likely to be a good fit with individual family situations rather than those imposed by a Court.

    • Kelly joined Livingstons in May 2002 as a secretary in the Property department. For a number of years she worked closely with Kim Chambers, gaining extensive residential property experience. Kelly went on to study with the Council for Licensed Conveyancers and qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in November 2007. Kelly deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing including sales, purchase and remortgages. Kelly is based in our Ulverston office and works alongside Pat Gilchrist.
