Steve
Walker Steve is our Managing
Director and head of our busy and expanding Employment and Company
Law Department. Steve assists many local companies with all aspects
of employment law and company/commercial law– including drafting
employment contracts and staff handbooks, advising on potential
disputes and issues with staff, handling Employment Tribunal proceedings,
keeping HR officers updated on changes to the law and representing
clients in the Courts and Employment Tribunal. He also handles company
and commercial law matters, including advising on commercial contracts,
handling company incorporations and changes to company structures,
drafting shareholder and partnership agreements and buying and selling
businesses. |

Chambers |

| Simon Hollis Director Simon is our Finance Director and head of our long-established Private Client Department. He specialises in probate and the handling of estates, will-writing, the provision of Inheritance Tax advice and Care for the Elderly. He offers free home and hospital visits to our elderly and disabled clients. Contact Simon. |

Lisa Dacre Lisa is our Complaints Director (which takes very little of her time!) and heads our Litigation and Family departments. She advises on all matters relating to civil litigation and personal injury, including accidents at work, “slip and trips”, road traffic accidents (including cycling accidents), clinical negligence and contractual disputes. Lisa also heads our Dalton office. Lisa is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), Resolution and has been accredited by the Law Society family panel. |

Graham Kilburn Graham Kilburn is a highly experienced and well respected solicitor who joined Livingstons from the Manchester firm of Gruber Garratt. Graham is based in our Dalton office and works in our Property department. He specialises in Commercial property matters – the trickier the better!

Deborah Yearnshire Deborah has been with Livingstons since 2004 and is a rising star in our Private Client department. Deborah specialises in will writing, probate work and Care for the Elderly and works from our Dalton office. Deborah will soon be a member of the Society of Trust and Estate practitioners and is hoping to grow our caseload of contentious probate matters – helping those who seek to contest wills which have unfairly excluded them or which were made improperly or by those without sufficient |

Jenny
Nuttall Jenny qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and works as an employment lawyer in our growing employment department. Jenny is an Employment Tribunal advocate and advises both individuals and businesses on a wide range of employment matters including disciplinary and grievance matters, redundancy procedures, compromise agreements and discrimination. Jenny also handles Employment Tribunal cases for both employers and employees. Jenny produces guidance booklets for new and small employers and employers in the charitable and not for profit sectors. |

Kate
Jones Kate joined our Employment
and Company Law department in March 2009 after moving to Cumbria
from Manchester, where she had worked since qualifying as a solicitor.
Kate now advises both employers and employees on the full range
of employment issues, including disciplinary matters, grievances,
discrimination, equal pay issues, whistle-blowing, redundancy, compromise
agreements and TUPE transfers. Kate regularly carries out audits
of employers’ employment documentation and updates/drafts
contracts and employee handbooks. Kate represents clients at the Employment Tribunal and is currently working on a series of training courses to help managers deal with the disciplinary and grievance matters fairly and expeditiously and to help employers comply with their anti discrimination and general employment obligations. |

Elanor
Findlay Elanor qualified as a solicitor in December 2003. Following qualification, she worked on the west coast of Cumbria before settling in the Furness area where she gained further experience working for a number of local legal firms. Elanor joined Livingstons in January 2011 specialising in all aspects of family law including divorce, cohabitee and civil partnership separations, children issues, care proceedings and prenuptial agreements. |

Chadwick David joined us in 2003 as our Quality and Compliance Manager, with over 12 years experience in industry working in Quality Management. In 2006, Dave also became our Practice Manager. David is also a member of The Chartered Quality Institute(MCQI). |

| Jean Mease Jean joined Livingstons
in November 2003 and works in our Litigation department. Jean is
based in our Dalton office. Jean is a legal executive with over
20 years experience and specialises in personal injury and general
civil litigation matters. Jean has a very friendly approach to her
clients and has built up excellent working relationships with both
clients and fellow professionals. |

| Sharon Ritchie Sharon joined our Family department in December 2005. She originally started work for Kendall and Fisher in Ulverston before moving on to another local firm for 10 years. She is based in our Dalton office and deals with all aspects of family work, with a particular specialisation in divorce and finances

| Kelly
Rhodes Kelly joined Livingstons in May 2002 as a secretary in the Property department. For a number of years she worked closely with Kim Chambers, gaining extensive residential property experience. Kelly went on to study with the Council for Licensed Conveyancers and qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in November 2007. She currently deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing including sales, purchase and remortgages. Kelly is based in our Ulverston office. |
